What Age Do I Register For?

Farm League Baseball 

Consists of ages 4-6 year olds, Pre-k & Kindergarten students. For Baseball - whatever age you play in the Fall of 2025, is the age you play Spring of 26. You cannot turn 7, before 4/30/26 and play in Farm league, except by age/grade exception. **limited to 2 per team

This is coach pitch baseball. Players do strike out, get out and learn to make plays. All players are in the batting order and 10 are in the field at a time. 

Coaches may be in and around the field to help players learn the game, but they may not participate or move a player in any way during game play. 

Farm League Softball 

Consists of ages 4-6 year olds, Pre-k & Kindergarten students. For Softball - your age by 12/31/25 determines the age you play spring and fall of 2026.  

This is coach pitch softball. Players do not strike out, if they swing 3 times they get to hit off a tee. Players do get out and learn to make plays. All players are in the batting order and 10 are in the field at a time. 

Coaches may be in and around the field to help players learn the game, but they may not participate or move a player in any way during game play. 

Rookie League Baseball 

Consists of ages 6-8 year olds, 1st & 2nd grade students. For Baseball - whatever age you play in the Fall of 2025, is the age you play Spring of 26. You cannot turn 9, before 4/30/26 and play in Rookie league, except by age/grade exception. **limited to 2 per team

Coaches may be outside the dugout, but not in the field of play, or outfield foul territory during game play. 

Rookie League Softball 

Consists of ages 7-8 year olds, 1st & 2nd grade students. For Softball - your age by 12/31/25 determines the age you play spring and fall of 2026.  

This league begins to prepare girls for kid pitch.  Coaches pitch  and the girls can strike out.  Girls begin to catch the ball better, understand outs, and hit the ball harder.  10 girls play in the field each inning and all girls bat in the line up.

Minor League Baseball 

Consists of ages 8-10 year olds, 3rd & 4th grade students. For Baseball whatever age you play in the Fall of 2025, is the age you play Spring of 26. You cannot turn 11, before 4/30/26 and play in Minor league, except by age/grade exception. **limited to 2 per team

This is kid pitch baseball. Players do strike out, get out and make plays. All players are in the batting order and 9 are in the field at a time. 

Coaches may be outside the dugout, but not in the field of play, or outfield foul territory during game play. 

Junior League Softball 

Consists of ages 9 & 10 year olds, 3rd & 4th grade students. For Softball your age by 12/31/25 determines the age you play spring and fall of 2026.  

This is our youngest kid pitch division.  All girls bat, only 10 girls play in the field at a time.  

Major League Baseball 

Consists of ages 10-12 year olds, 5th & 6th grade students. For Baseball whatever age you play in the Fall of 2025, is the age you play Spring of 26. You cannot turn 13, before 4/30/26 and play in Major league, except by age/grade exception. **limited to 2 per team

This is quality kid pitch, straight baseball. Infield fly, lead off's and balks are all in play.  Umpires call a real rec zone, and players are taught to play the game a high level. 

2 Coaches may be outside the dugout, but not in the field of play, or outfield foul territory during game play. 

Senior League Softball 

Consists of ages 11-13 year olds, 5th-8th grade students. For Softball your age by 12/31/25 determines the age you play spring and fall of 2026.  

This is one of our strongest leagues when it comes to understanding the game and making plays.  All girls bat, but only 9 play in the field  at  a  time. This league begins spring game play after the local Middle School seasons are over.   

Middle TN Prep League

Consists of ages 12-16 year olds, 7th - 10th grade students. For Baseball whatever age you play in the Fall of 2025, is the age you play Spring of 26. 

This is straight baseball. Infield fly, lead off's and balks are all in play.  Umpires call a real rec zone, and players are taught to play the game a high level. 

2 Coaches may be outside the dugout. Games are played all over Middle TN against teams from leagues across the Mid South. Prep league does not begin until the Middle School season is over.
